OUR PHILANTHROPIC EVENTS
Each year our sisters look forward to two big events to support the Ronald McDonald House in Durham. In the Fall, it is Ram Roast and in the spring it is the Run for Ronald 5k on campus. Ram Roast is a fun way to celebrate the football game against UNC while eating barbecue with family and friends. Our in house chef and some of the girls cook and serve food, there is a live band and games to play. This year at ram roast some of our entrepreneurial sisters set up pop up shops of products they created as well! The Run for Ronald 5k is an event on campus where we encourage alumnae, students, friends, and family, to come out and run with us to support RMH!
FALL: RAM ROAST
We typically raise between $9-11k!
There are multiple ways for each member to get involved with RMH, whether it is collecting pop tabs, going to the house and cooking dinner, cleaning the house, playing games, or making crafts with the kids and families. We also held an event this year with the current members and alumnae to come together at the house and creating over 70 Halloween goodie bags for the family. In the Fall, the Zeta Beta chapter participates in Trunk-or-Treat! This event involves decorating a car and having the kids trick-or-treat from car to car. It is so much fun! We love having a Ronald McDonald House so close and feel very lucky to be able to visit regularly.
